Dr Taher Mahmud

Dr Taher Mahmud is a distinguished internationally renowned consultant rheumatologist. He has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications and is regarded for his expertise in osteoporosis, osteopenia, osteoarthritis, and is passionate about raising awareness of the prevention of osteoporosis fractures and maintaining healthy bones.

Prof Gina M Allen

Author of over 70 publications on musculoskeletal radiology, Gina has a Diploma and MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Gina was a Teaching Associate at college for over a decade prior to becoming an Associate Fellow in 2023 and has many skills obtained in training as a GP, Physician and Radiologist.

Professor Paul Lee

MBBCH MSc (Sports Med), PhD, FEBOT, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Professor Lee specialises in Knee and Hip conditions. Being a double board-certified surgeon with 5 international fellowships, he is able to offer a balanced and up to date opinion between surgery and non-surgical intervention. He has treated UK Premiership footballers with good results and is also at the forefront for cell therapy, being a member of the International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society.


As a Surgeon, Professor Lee offers evidence-based methods with advanced technology to reduce tissue damage and help patients kickstart their recovery.


As an Engineer, Professor Lee is a visiting professor of medical engineering at University of Chester. He regularly apply engineering principle to regeneration medicine.


As a Professor, he is widely published and often invited to give lectures on Cartilage, PRP, Cell therapy, ACL reconstruction, Knee replacement and Hip replacement internationally.


Over the years, Prof Lee has built up a network to exchange knowledge with an international team of surgeons to remain at the cutting edge of innovation.

Dr Nicola Keay

As Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Medicine at University College London and previously Research Fellow in the  Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University, I conduct clinical research in sports/dance endocrinology, resulting a range of research publications and awards. 


I am a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine and the British Menopause Society. I am a speaker on Dance Endocrinology for National Institute of Dance Medicine and Science and International Association of Dance Medicine and Science.

Dr David J Wilson

MBBS BSc FRCP FRCR

Former President of the British Society of Skeletal Radiology, with more than 20 years of experience in vertebroplasty and is the author of publications on multicentre controlled trials on the treatment of insufficiency fractures. He is currently researching the incidence of silent osteoporotic fractures, at Imperial College, London.

Ben Steele-Turner

Ben is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Associate PHd in Nutritionist.Over the years as a participating athlete he was increasingly aware of the impact that dietary patterns on musculoskeletal health. This led him to combine his MSK physiotherapy and understanding of nutrition into a comprehensive approach to strengthening musculoskeletal health.

Transitioning her career focus, she moved into the healthcare market, specialising in musculoskeletal health.


Known for her dynamic and effective leadership style, Ruth has a proven track record of building winning teams and strengthening brands throughout her career.


Having navigated both the NHS and private sector landscapes, Ruth possesses a unique understanding of the healthcare market. Her strategic acumen and relentless pursuit of innovation have enabled her teams to consistently exceed revenue goals and deliver impactful solutions that address the evolving needs of the industry.


As a leader, Ruth is not only inspiring and influential but also deeply passionate about making a difference. She has successfully built and led teams, all while adeptly managing budgets to achieve optimal results.


Her background in musculoskeletal conditions equips her with the necessary insights allowing her to appreciate the importance of bone health. With her in-depth knowledge of healthcare pathways, Ruth is adept at identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to elevate healthcare.

John May

As well as being a Trustee of the Global Osteoporosis Foundation, John is a founder of City & Westminster Corporate Finance LLP and is its Managing Partner.


He is a Chartered Accountant by trade with vast experience in both private and public sector markets. He has been a director of many such companies.


John is also Chairman of the Genesis Initiative Limited, a lobbying group for SME’s to the UK Parliament. It has over 1million members within its 117 trade associations.

Isobel Glanville-Pearl

With over 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles, I have helped healthcare startups scale and optimise their talent pipeline, leveraging my strong background in recruitment strategies within the health tech and AI sectors.


My mission is to drive innovation and transformation within the healthcare industry, using my expertise in neurofeedback and its applications in improving patient outcomes. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership from Kingston University and a Master’s degree in Pulmonary Rehabilitation from St George’s, University of London. As an advisory board member for multiple startups and a non-executive director at SOLA Group.

She’s known for hosting shows like GMTV, Blue Peter, The National Lottery, and more. In her 60s, she continues to be active, promoting her book “How To Age Well: The Secrets” and writing a popular ‘life hacks’ column for My Weekly Magazine.


Anthea’s recent appearances on shows like Celebrity SAS and E4’s ‘Real Life Dirty Dancing’ have highlighted her resilience and determination, proving that age is no barrier to her vibrant spirit. Her involvement with GOF reflects her commitment to health and well-being.
